The Pomona Public Library Foundation invites you to:

THE LEGACY OF HEART MOUNTAIN

WITH SPECIAL GUEST ABC7 EYEWITNESS NEWS ANCHOR DAVID ONO

Mr. Ono will show and discuss his recent television news report about the World War II Japanese Internment camp at Heart Mountain WY, including new material that has not been broadcast before. Our guest panelists (who also appear in the Mr. Ono's broadcast) include Patti Hirahawa, whose great grandfather, grandfather and father were interned at Heart Mountain and made several thousand photos of the camp, and Mike Hachimonji, who was interned there as a teenager after being transported  from the Pomona Assembly Center.

The program will also include readings by Pomona Unified School District students of selections from letters sent to Pomona Middle School Librarian Mrs. Lavina Penley by her former students from the Pomona Assembly Center and from Heart Mountain.
